Yes, I’m in New York, a city brimming with adventure. Yes, I’m sitting in my hotel room drinking a cup of coffee, updating my blog. You may say that I’m crazy, sitting here instead of being outdoors. But must I tell you about how this is the first morning in probably two months that I have had the luxury of simply waking up to a cup of coffee and nothing but my own free schedule in front of me?
So, I’m definitely on my way out the door, but first I wanted to take a few moments to freely blog, while I’m wide awake and sleep isn’t beckoning me, which is the usual setting.
I want to take a moment to brag on one little guy. Last night Kyle and I sat in bed, adoring Owen, who is more amazing than we deserve. We take him on his first plane ride:

He sucks his thumb and sleeps.
We take him to see his favorite late-night comedian, David Letterman.

He expresses over-the-top excitement.
I take his picture on top of the New York Times, in honor of his parents’ backgrounds in journalism:

Owen waves his arm with a baby-like zeal.
He is much too good to us, with his content, laid-back ways.
Now, off to Central Park. Pray I don’t get us lost while his daddy is work, work, working.

So fun! Owen looks like he’s having a blast, too.
I stumbled upon your blog through Katie’s and I’m REALLY enjoying it! NY sounds like a blast!
