Catching up

OK, so hopefully the point of this exercise is to reflect positively on every day and not actually POST every day. I’m playing catch-up, but at least I’m catching up.

Grace 5 (Monday)
  1. Able to spend a lovely Monday afternoon working in a garden and greenhouse, pushing wheelbarrows, shoveling compost and transplanting herbs. (I liked how this gave a new meaning to the word “transplant” — for I was actually transplanting plants!)
  2. Eating a salad for dinner, and kind of enjoying it. (I don’t usually like salads, but sacrifices must be made when engaged in Weight Wars.)
  3. Gelato for dessert. :) Kyle rejoiced, for he did not partake in the gelato. Kyle, 1; Amy, 0.
  4. Owen quietly going down for bedtime.
  5. Kyle coming home from a softball game and rushing into the nursery to see his sleeping son. He loves him, I’d say.

Grace 6 (Tuesday)

  1. Owen had a dirty diaper! After five days of no dirty diapers. I no longer have to panic about his lack of bowel movements, and fortunately this explosiveness occurred at daycare. :) … Amy, 1; Daycare, 0.
  2. Amusement of Kyle jogging in the rainy downpour to keep up with my boot-camp diligence. Kyle, 1; Amy, 1.
  3. Homemade smoothies and egg burritos for dinner! Health rocks.
  4. Loading up on fruits and veggies at the grocery store. Amy, 1; Ben & Jerry’s, 0.
  5. Owen’s growing tolerance for bedtime stories. He must love knowing that we love him “… Through and Through.”

One Response

  1. Amy, 1; Cynicism, 0. You two are amazing parents.. When I have kids, is it ok if my rich husband flies you both to wherever I am to give me a crash course? This made my day, Amy.
